Person notified of death Mrs. Mary L. Barber (mother) Born in Waverly Ia and educated in the Public Schools of Waverly a graduate of the Waverly High School. After completing school he became engaged in business with his father George Barber in the Jewelry store in this city. Congenial and good natured was Jay Barber as we knew him. He was in the draft of June 1918 going to Camp Dodge. During the flue epedemic he was taken sick and died there the body returned to Waverly for burial in Harlington Cemetery.
