Born in Ireland Kil Kenney 3-16-1848 son of Peter Roach came to Am. when 5 years of age. Lived 2 years in N. Y. C. then moved to Chic. Ill His parents died and he was adopted into a family named Ainsworth and until the age of 15 when he enlisted in the 8th Ill Cav Wa in several engagements. Wounded at Rector, V. Came to Bremer county, Ia. in 1866 and settled in Plfd Ia in the grain and prodcue trade in 1870. Married in 1873 to Mary Wanamaker, who died in 1880. She left 2 sons Louis and Edwin. Again married about 1883 Dora Ware to whom was born 1 son Howar.
