My name is Trooper Michelle Beck with the Iowa State Patrol. I reached out to all of you last year about recruiting Veterans for our Department. I am pleased to share that we will be running an academy in May of 2017. Applications are now being accepted, and testing begins in December. I have included some links for anyone interested. I would ask that you share this information with anyone you know, who may be interested in a career in law enforcement.
As a USMC Veteran, I value the skills and training that military personnel receive. It was a very smooth transition from the military, to a career in law enforcement, and many traits and values were instilled in us that aid in the ability for us to do this job, and do it well!
