Waverly Airman’s Rites Tuesday

WAVERLY—Funeral services for Airman Second Class Robert Goodspeed of Waverly, who died May 29 in French Morocco of polio, will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church here.

The body will arrive in Waverly Sunday afternoon and be taken to the Cleveland funeral home.

Robert, who was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Goodspeed of Waverly, enlisted in the Air Force May 25, 1950, right after graduation from Waverly high school, and he had beeen[sic] in French Morocco since November, 1952.

He was born March 23, 1931. Surviving besides his parents are two sisters, Rita and Joan, and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Goodspeed, of Waverly.
