“Died from wounds within 24 hours after battle. Buried in France. Body returned to Waverly in 1921 He enlisted at Chicago, Ill as the family was living there at that time. Wounded at battle of Chateau Thierry, and died the following day. His parents both died at Chic. the same year Melvin died. The father spelled the name Bahe but everyone knew the name BArr and the rest of the family usually spelled it as such
