Part-Time – On-Call Assistant to Landfill Manager

Bremer County is accepting applications for the position of Landfill Assistant. This is a part-time – on-call position, with hours seasonally varying according to demand, from four to twenty or more per week. Will work independently, or as part of a crew, operating but not limited to a hook truck, dump truck, wheel loader, farm tractor with three-point mower and perform routine maintenance on the equipment, fences, buildings, and grounds. Also will include some scale house duties.

Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent; class B Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes, at least two years experience involving the operation of heavy equipment, ability to perform under adverse weather conditions and maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees and the public.
