The Bremer County Building & Zoning Department is seeking applications for the position of Building / Electrical Inspector. Candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience in the building and or electrical trades. A strong aptitude in the electrical trades is desired. The individual will be involved with all phases of construction permitting, inspections, plan review, code and ordinance enforcement. Strong interpersonal skills are desired.
High school diploma or equivalent required. A certification by ICC as a building or electrical inspector is required within one year of employment and additional certifications should be acquired each year as the employee progresses. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
